Following a career in the London Insurance Market, David Jewell founded Crown Insurance Consultancy Ltd in July 2007 to provide arbitrator and consultancy services to the insurance industry and to develop the next stage of his career as a Non Executive Director.

He was retained by his previous employers, Capita Group plc, as a Non Executive Director on a number of their subsidiary Boards and as a consultant.

These duties currently include assitance with the procurement of the Group’s Insurance Programme and in that capacity remains, in particular, a consultant to Capita Group Insurance Company Ltd which he was instrumental in establishing in 2002.

He has more than 50 years experience in the London Insurance market, with previous roles including Lloyd's Active Underwriter, Capita Divisional Director, and as a Director of various Insurance Companies and Lloyd’s Agencies; he has also been employed as an Arbitrator and Expert Witness in Insurance litigation.

Following the establishment of Crown he has worked extensively in Malta, Channel Islands and the Middle East.

His interests are centred on his family, but also encompass music, most sports and coastal walks.
